The Flexigrasp(tm) rubber sleeve has an internal ridge, which
locates into the adaptor at the rear.
There are two sleeves
supplied with the kit, but may be purchased individually.
The
desired tool bit is fitted to the sleeve, and secured with one of
the cable ties supplied in the kit. Depending how firmly the
cable tie is fitted determines how much the tool bit is allowed to
turn in the Flexigrasp(tm) sleeve. For example you may want to
follow the contour of a car body panel in which case the cable tie
may be left a little slack. Or you may want to remove spot welds,
in which case the tool may be held firmly so as not to twist out
of the job. But in each situation a cable tie is always used for
safety.
Unlike the conventional spring (which is always loose),
you have full control over the tool.
Flexigrasp(tm) will not
cause a blood blister to the hand should you have a lapse of
concentration and operate the tool without gloves(unlike the
spring).
It is also much faster to change between tool bits
too, as it simply peels off from the rear, and the next tool
snapped on. For this reason it is best to have one Flexigrasp(tm)
sleeve for each tool bit.
